Today’s letter to God

My dear Abba Father,
In reading these Scripture promises and messages direct from thee I find such great hope and the courage to dream big dreams. At times I am tempted to pull in my horns and accept a calm & ordinary life; but the words that thou dost highlight for me from thy Holy Scriptures don’t speak to me of such a life. Rather they speak of a life of big dreams, of large vision, of a life lived under the direction of the God who knows no failure. I am feeling motivated to a life of activity and strength that will be an honor to thy holy name.
Oh dear Abba, help me to speak well of thee this day and all days forward. Help me to hear thy word behind me saying “This is the way; walk ye in it.” Grant, O Father, the hearing ear and the seeing eye – and that above my fellows. Help me to be not ordinary or run-of-the-mill. Like Daniel and Joseph I give thee permission to enter the citadel of my mind and to take complete control. All to Jesus I surrender, all to Him I freely give. Here am I, Lord. Send me!
Your child,
James.

God’s Response
My dear child, James, (insert your name)
Seest thou how these mighty Scriptures tell thee that I desire to be a God near at hand? Do I not attend unto thy cry and preserve thee from thine enemies? Do I not put thy tears into my bottle and write them in my book? I am on thy side, dear, James. I have taken thy part along side them that help thee. Let integrity and uprightness be the guiding light of thy life and I will show thee my covenant. All my paths are mercy and truth unto they that serve me. Only trust and obey and I shall teach thee in the way thou shouldst go. Thy soul shall dwell at ease and thy seed shall inherit the earth. Go forth in confidence for I am on thy side.
Your Abba
