Today’s Letter To God

My dearly beloved, Abba,

Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up mine eyes. To thee do I look for strength and health and daily food – for ideas and wisdom and for my daily plans. I have found thee to be a pleasant companion and a gentle taskmaster. I find in thy service much more that is worthy of praise than of complaint.
O Father – help me to be an honor and a joy to thy heart – a praise to thy name. May Jesus find in me a goodly supply of thankfulness and gratitude for His investment in me. Surely an infinite investment deserves a proportionate return. May that be so in my life. This is my prayer, O my God.

Scripture texts as the basis for God’s reply

verse 6 We speak wisdom among them that are perfect [obedient].
verse 9 Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things that God hath prepared for them that love Him. verse 10 But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit.

God’s Reply

My dear child, James (insert your name),

The unseen things of eternity, truly hath my Spirit begun to reveal unto thee, for thou art my son. I no longer call thee servant, but friend. And there are yet many things to show thee that shall stretch thy mind and thy credulity. Be thou the man of my right hand and my hand shall be upon thee. My face shall shine upon thee and my gentleness shall make thee great. And thou shalt be wise, for a good understanding have all they that do my commandments.

Your loving Abba Father
